With support from the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP), Sindh Institute of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences (SIOVS) Hyderabad is providing online eye care services to people of Sindh in collaboration with The Fred Hollows Foundation. In this emergency pandemic/lockdown situation, this service will be very useful when regular eye care services cannot be provided in hospital premises.

Sindh Institute of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences (SIOVS) is one of the major research institutes in Pakistan established through an act of Provincial Assembly of Sindh by upgrading its status from Liaquat University Eye Hospital Hyderabad to SIOVS. It is only institute in Pakistan that is established through the assembly act which offers teaching, training, and clinical services in the field of Ophthalmology.
