Role & Responsibilities of QEC of SIOVS:
- The QEC of SIOVS is headed by the Director/Incharge and reports directly to the Executive Director.
- It plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of quality and excellence within the Institute and ensure that it remains responsive to the evolving needs of students, faculty and other stake holders.
- QEC assess the quality of patient care, surgical outcomes, and safety protocols and collaborate with clinical staff to improve healthcare delivery.
- The QEC of the Institute typically handles various services and responsibilities aimed at improving overall quality of trainings, education, patients care and institutional effectiveness.
- It develop and implement quality assurance mechanisms to ensure that academic programs, patient’s care and administrative processes meet established standards and benchmarks.
- Facilitates accreditation processes by assisting necessary documentation, conducting self-assessment and preparing visits by external accrediting bodies as part of the accreditation process.
- Evaluates academic progress, courses, and teaching methodologies to identify areas for improvement and enhance the quality of training and education.
- Organize workshops seminars and training sessions to enhance professional development of faculty members and improve teaching and learning practices.
- Collects and analyze feedback from students on various aspects of their educational experience.
- Promotes research culture within the Institute and enhance innovation among faculty members, residents and students.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and implementing best practices by preparing evaluation forms.
- Conducts bench marking studies to compare the Institutions performance and practices with peer institutions.
